Redefining Level 27 at The Scalpel Building

At Whitepaper, we’re passionate about design, but we’re not precious. The recent fit-out of Level 27 at The Scalpel for Ho Bee Land gave us the opportunity to practise what we preach.

Rather than starting from scratch, we saw the beauty and quality in the existing fit-out and worked closely with the client and leasing agents to adapt and elevate what was already there. The goal? To broaden the appeal of the space, bring it up to date, and make it relevant to today’s occupier, all without unnecessary waste.

By carefully reusing key elements of the original design and integrating them into our new scheme, we’ve not only delivered a distinctive, characterful space, we’ve also avoided the need to rip out and rebuild. This approach saved around 300 tonnes of CO₂e, the equivalent of the annual carbon sequestration of 350 acres of forest.

A great reminder that the most sustainable fit-out is the one that’s already there.
